I just wanted to say that I am beyond impressed with what you have done so far with this software. I've worked really hard over the last six months to understand this program, and at first it was daunting. At first, I thought it was quite confusing, and the interface wasn't user-friendly. While that may be the case for your average pet owner, I believe nutrition isn't for the faint of heart and takes serious research to make sure it is balanced, and this program reflects that.
I recently purchased a diet from a board-certified veterinary nutritionist, and it didn't come cheap. I was very disappointed to receive the diet formulation about a month later, and it included only 3 ingredients and a BalanceIt supplement. While I have no problems with that supplement or company, I know that that diet must have taken this nutritionist all of 5 minutes to put together. However, I was thrilled to learn from an outside source that all the vitamins and minerals in the recipes I've been compiling from your software are spot on! I guess the point is that I've really been enjoying this program, and I am eagerly awaiting the updates. Keep up the good work; you really do have fans out there who see how much effort you are putting into this.

I'm so glad I found this software! I was sitting down, getting ready to create spreadsheets to try to nutritionally balance a recipe based on instructions I found in Monica Segal's book K9 Kitchen. Then I thought, geez, this is going to be a lot of calculations; maybe I should write a program to do it (cause I'm a programmer). Then I thought, wait, maybe someone has already done this! Yeah! I found you. It was difficult and took a fair amount of searching.
Great job on the program; it is really easy to use.

I recently started using this software, and I am very happy with it. I used to do these calculations myself, and this really saves me time. I have used BalanceIT in the past and was very happy with it, but this software gives me more flexibility and options. It is useful not only for preparing 100% homemade recipes, but also for evaluating store-bought food and preparing recipes that are part store-bought and part homemade.

I'm very happy with the program! Just what I have been looking for. For the diet we have been feeding our dog, I found that I had to add some fish oil, bone meal, and canola oil to balance the diet. All in small amounts. Perfect! Well done.

I absolutely love this program! I'm able to create healthy raw meals for my pup and know that she's getting everything she needs because I can see all of the nutrient levels, like vitamins, minerals, macronutrients, and micronutrients. The report in the Reports section is wonderful! I love the NRC comparisons and nutrient totals, like fatty acids; they let me know instantly if I need to consider adding something like EPA/DHA.

I have a diabetic cat and would love to track his nutrition...I think the recipes section will help many diabetic pet owners because that's truly the best way to control exactly what's in their diet.

Hi! I just downloaded Pet Recipe Designer and am learning how to use the program. I'm playing with the recipes a bit to see how changing the amount of a particular ingredient (for example, kelp) affects the omega-6-to-omega-3 ratio. It works great, by the way, and it is so interesting to watch how the nutrient analysis changes with modifications.
